Prepare yourself for a fantastic adventure as we go in search of Egypt's colorful wildlife, all from the safety and comfort of your terminal. We have some virtual safaris ready for you to take, and more are on the way (provided the guides responsible for getting all the pictures return in one piece). Contributions of pictures and information to Wild Egypt are most welcome, and I (and our fellow readers, I'm sure) would be thoroughly excited to hear of adventures amongst the animals of Egypt, either by the Nile, in the deserts and valleys, or even diving in the Red Sea. If you have pictures or stories to share, please e-mail them to me so I can put them up for all to enjoy. From the colorful shores of the Nile River to the majestic Red Sea, the land of Egypt teems with animal life, much of it rarely seen by the outside world. But Wild Egypt brings it all to you, and you won't even have to leave your chair. So put on your pith helmets and dig out your khaki pants, we're going on a safari! The Sahara not lifeless is remarkably still home for countless Bedouins as it is has been for thousands of years. It is one of the few places left that provide real adventure for the spirited travelers. Once accessible by camel caravan, the desert is now penetrable by jeep and four wheels drive, hosting challenging safaris and rallies. |
